Furtwangen - Koepfer held a two days festival for its 150th anniversary. Everything was perfectly organized. More than 700 guests gathered in the marquee on June 30th. Employees, business partners, and representatives from business, politics, and society were entertained with a high-quality program which was professionally presented by TV host Rolf Benzmann. Among the guests were parliament members as well as representatives of international customers and partners.
Furthermore, the event was spiced up by the discussions with Mayor Josef Herdner, district administrator Sven Hinterseh, works council chairwoman Karoline Koslowski, and the members of the executive board Thomas Kampmann and Bernd Angst. They praised the company's contribution to communal value as well as the enthusiasm of the management and employees, acknowledged the company's open-minded attitude towards change and decisions and expressed their confidence for the future of the company.
The main speech was held by Dieter Teufel, president of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. He congratulated on this exceptional anniversary and presented the CEO Thomas Koepfer with a certificate of honor. Founded in 1867, the company was established in a time of change whose effects even reached far into the Black Forest region - the perfect time to start an ambitious company. Teufel said: "The company did many things in the right way and, therefore, credit is to be given to all those who have contributed to this", and added that he believed the company would keep developing rapidly by means of new products and its professional know-how.
CEO Dr. Thomas Koepfer presented the audience with an insight into the company's history. At the same time, he provided a glimpse into the future and the challenges to come. He praised the company's proven adaptability as well as its innovative capacity and expressed his gratitude to all employees, business partners, and customers for the many years of good business relationships.
His look at the company's history described its development from the small beginnings to a modern, globally operating company. Furthermore, he explained that courage, willingness to change, problem solving, and a competent staff will be crucial in the years to come.
